  When it was time for my cousin to arrange, plan and prepay her funeral she was lucky to work closely with Tatiana of Ballard Duran Funeral Services. For a terminally ill person to do this preplanning is not easy. However, the grace and compassion shown to my cousin was unmatched. When I arrived to meet with Tatiana after the passing of my cousin, the tender professionalism afforded to me was extremely appreciated. Tatiana continue to care well beyond the day of burial and answered all my questions in order to meet all of my cousin's wishes.

  My family recently required the services of Hawthorne Funeral Home. I can only say wonderful things about Ernie and Marlena. At a time when making decisions and having to focus on last wishes of a loved one is extremely difficult, Ernie and Marlena made the process seamless. Ernie took charge from the initial call and continued to do so throughout the making of arrangements. He walked us through the process, answered all our questions and did so with such kindness and compassion. Ernie and the staff went above and beyond. My family and I will be forever grateful. I highly recommend HFH for anyone seeking services. Top notch all around and what a great down to earth guy Ernie is. Thank you for everything!

  During the most difficult of times, Ernie was kind, helpful, communicative and compassionate as we made my father's funeral arrangements from long distance. We live in California where he passed and he handled everything with extreme care, concern and professionalism in order to get him back to New York where he would be laid to rest. He answered every phone call and question with patience and walked us through the process, as this was our first experience.
  
  On the day of the service and burial, everything went smoothly, from the funeral home to the cemetery. We are grateful to him and his staff for giving my dad the send off that he so deserved.

  My dad had passed away 4 days ago and my family and I went to see “Ernie” J. Carpentieri, as we had done many times before for other members of our family.
  
  Ernie once again made us feel so comforted from start to finish. His warmth, kindness, and compassion was so overwhelming to us all and we knew that our family would be so well taken care of. He listened to our needs and answered all our questions with compassion.
  
  My mom was made to feel like family, which was so nice. He literary took care of everything for us. My dad had been sick for a while, but they did such a great job that he looked like our beautiful dad before he got sick, which gave us great comfort. The funeral home was recently updated and looked great.
  
  Thank you Ernie and the entire staff for all you did for our family. Losing my dad is the hardest thing for us , and it is so nice to know there are compassionate people who really care about the families they serve. You treated us like family and for that we are truly grateful.
  
  Our family highly recommends to anyone needing these professional services to reach out to the Hawthorne Funeral Home team. Their services go above and beyond.
