(July 24, 2023, 9:13 pm)Balch's is still the one restaurant that is consistently good. We have been going there since it opened. Food portions are very generous. Service is also very good. Happy that they finally put down hardwood floors in place of the rugs. You will enjoy this restaurant.

(July 19, 2023, 1:49 pm)The side dishes were especially great! The side of rice medley I got was huge! And really good! And the side of pasta was equally huge and hearty. My main dish - the clam strips meal - was good and an ample portion. Nothing served was fancy or incredible or exquisite, but everything was good and filling. The servers were all friendly and happy.

Their specialty is seafood. but they do everything well including prime rib and burgers. They have an out side deck. Also a full service bar. I've been coming here for over 30 years and never had a bad meal. Trust me, I have some very picky friends.
The drinks are good and the portions large. On Mother's Day a complimentary shrimp appetizer 10 shrimp, was given with each dinner order. They are also know for their cheese dip and corn chips. House made -

The Wednesday special was baked haddock, sweet potato fries, and mixed greens salad with feta, craisins, and walnuts. It was so good! Dessert was even better. I had chocolate chip cookie dough brownie with peanut butter. It was a delightful meal! Highly recommend.
