(June 29, 2023, 5:09 pm)My mom and I checked in to the Abbey for a girls' getaway and had the pleasure of dining at Apropos.
I made a reservation over a month in advance requesting a booth, noting that we were dining for a special weekend away. Upon arrival, we were pleased to be seated at what we thought was the best seat in the house!
Our waitress promptly greeted us, noting that we were there for a special girls' weekend.
After ordering a bottle of fine wine, we dined on the Abbey green salad, the citrus & couscous salad, the orecchiette pasta, the grilled NY striploin of beef, and the roasted carrots.
The beef was cooked to perfection and was perhaps the best piece of striploin my mom has ever tasted! The carrots were also a highlight of the meal not to be missed.
Of course we had to have dessert! We had the olive oil cake and the blackberry tart. Pure decadence!
The meal plus the ambiance of the restaurant was a highlight of our getaway! We are already looking forward to our next visit. -

I had an amazing burger, very tasty, bloody Mari, coffee ☕️ and chocolate cake. I was very much satisfied with everything, including beautiful and helpful hostess. -

(May 26, 2023, 12:22 pm)What a spectacular spot overlooking the Hudson River. A former nunnery, redone to perfection. Perfect spot for that special meal or event. Food was delicious. The olive oil cake was delicious, topped with chocolate chip Gelato and home made pistachio brittle. Very inventive

(May 6, 2023, 1:51 pm)I come to dinner here somewhat regularly and the chefs here deserve a raise as they’ve delivered consistent and great dishes. I get the same thing every time- the duck.. except they removed the duck so I gave 4 stars instead of 5.. Hope to see this on the menu soon! If you are looking for a great experience check them out

Farm to table excellence. We ate there for 1 breakfast, 1 brunch, and one dinner. Breakfast- pancakes and avocado toast- excellent. Coffee needs to be better.
