My husband has been going to Tom off & on for a few years due to various problems & he has never failed to help him get better. He has given him exercises to do at home in-between visits too. I have gone to him as well with the same results. He and his staff are very personable and make you feel comfortable. I would suggest and recommend Apex to anyone needing PT.
Everyone at Apex has been wonderful to work with. Tom has been nothing short of incredible treating my mom and helping her to regain the strength and ability to walk again following a terrible accident. His expertise and kindness has helped guide my mom on her road to recovery. We couldn’t have asked for a better therapist to work with. He knows how to push my mom just enough and works with her, especially through the pain due to her injuries. Tom continues to help her and I couldn’t be more grateful for him and everyone at Apex.
I came to Apex in Feb with knee pain and Tom’s treatment approach is so unique that he customized the exercises according to my needs . He not only addressed my pain but provided a great home work out plan / routine for me to continue. The whole staff at Apex are so friendly and accommodating ! He has a wealth of knowledge and you will not be disappointed!
After breaking my fibula and getting surgery at the beginning of this summer, my right ankle was very stiff, inflexible, and imbalanced with the rest of my body. I began PT with Tom and Gil in early July, after being in a cast for a month. Tom worked with me two times a week, and prescribed me exercises to do at home to hasten my recovery. Within 2 weeks, I had gained a significant portion of my strength and flexibility back, and was able to walk normally again. By late August, I had fully recovered and was back to swimming, running, and working out as I was before. Being a college athlete, getting my strength and mobility back before the school year began was extremely important. Tom knew this, and he worked with me to prioritize my personal goals and always work within my limits while also pushing me to go further.
PT sessions with Tom were always purposeful and concentrated. He walked me through what each exercise would accomplish and made sure I kept proper form, and I always felt like I had enough attention on my recovery. Even after I finished PT, Tom provided contact information and was willing to give me advice about other problems related to physical health. Not to mention Apex's wealth of social media content on YouTube and Instagram!
Tom is clearly very passionate about what he does, and the results showed in my rapid progress while at Apex Orthopedic. I am grateful to have found a clinic that really cares about its patients and has set me on a better path after my injury.
Six months after having spine surgery and a hip replacement, my doctor told me that it was time to start physical therapy. My neighbor recommended Tom Willermann, PT at APEX Orthopedic Rehabilitation. Tom did an evaluation and then I began my long way to physical recovery. When I came for my first session I could barely walk with a cane, but I had an ambitious goal to walk a mile a day and be able to walk up and down the stairs. Tom taught me new exercises, each time pushing me to do a little bit more, adjusting my posture and always encouraging me. After 10-15 sessions I walked much better, and was able to walk up and down the stairs. Several months later, COVID began and I unfortunately had to stop my in-person sessions, but continued to do the exercises at home. Two years later I came back to work with Tom again. In just one session, he was able to solve two persistent issues, and recommended additional exercises which are already helping me gain more strength and movement. I am learning that physical therapy is a process which never stops. To have such a great coach on this journey makes it easier and very pleasant. His office staff is also always nice, responsive, and willing to help. I highly recommend this office to anyone who needs physical therapy.
