Our server, Christina M, was amazing when asked for local recommendations she gave them.
Food was beyond amazing, steamed clams to start. They were tender and delicious. For my entrée I had stuffed scampi San Marcos, and I could have licked the plate. My husband had Filet Bistro came out exactly how he ordered it.

The food and service are always good, and prices are reasonable for the Jersey shore. We love the fried lobster tail when available. Extensive menu everyone will find something they like.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Anchorage in Somers Point, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the fried lobster, which was nothing short of out of this world.
The lobster was cooked to perfection, with succulent meat and a crispy, flavorful coating that left me craving more. What impressed me even further was the generous portion size, as I was pleasantly surprised to receive not just one, but two mouthwatering lobster tails. It was a true seafood lover's dream come true for $35

The ability to choose from a range of options allowed me to personalize my meal, enhancing the overall dining experience. The crab cake sandwich was good, not Baltimore good but we enjoyed it. Pasta dish with shrimp, Italian sausage, and red peppers in a creamy red sauce was exceptional, and generous on shrimp with a nice flavor not too overwhelming. Great service and prices not bad considering the crazy inflation. -

We had a craving for their famous crabcake sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious as always if not better. The boys ordered cheese and bacon burgers with fries and left nothing on their plates. I have to confess that I stole a few fries and dipped them in the jalapeño-lime mayo that came with my lunch. Yum! The fried calamari was so good it didn’t last more than 30 seconds between the four of us.
If you are an Anchorage regular, have no fear, the vibe is the same as before. If you’ve never been, this is an iconic and must try restaurant and bar at the Jersey Shore. It’s worth the drive no matter what shore point you are visiting.
