  It can be windy (obiously at a pier). Has a great view on the water. Lot of pidgeons chill there

  Great location yet you would not have known what the memorial is on sight. You actually need to LOOK at the plaque to know what the memorial is for.
  
  It SHOULD be promoted as one of Nyc's places to visit and pay homage to the veterans on BOTH Memorial and Veterans Day.
  
  Unless that is done, it's one of NYC's landmarks that is easily missed because you'll not know what it commemorates unless you look at the signage.
  
  I found it accidentally walking around scouting photoshoot locations.

  It's a nice pier honering our Veterans Me and a friend walked from Bay Pkwy in Bensonhurst to the Pier in Bay Ridge do it almost all the time the pier also has a ferry terminal on it its nice to hang out have a picnic go fishing

  Good place to hangout in summer nights. It gets crowded at times. Good place to get view of lower Manhattan and jersey city skyline. In summer time, you will find ice cream truck standing at the entrance of this pier incase you want to eat something or drink. You can walk from this pier to all the way to Verrazano bridge and beyond. Many people do fishing on this pier which make it difficult to access all the area of this pier.

  Veterans pier is great place in bay ridge brooklyn
  
  Many benches if you like it sit and enjoy the views of the Hudson River
  
  You can also catch fish at the pier
  
  You can also catch nyc ferry from the pier
  
  View of the verizonna bridge and nyc are amazing
