Align Therapeutics Myofascial Release

I'm a 62 yr old active gal, that had suffered with a 15 yr chronic left neck and shoulder tightness with frequent muscle spasms. I tried so many modalities over the years- dry needling, chiropractic, Muscle Activation Therapy and massage with small and very temporary improvements. It started extending to my left arm and really all over my left upper body, disrupting sleep, driving, desk work and carrying my small grandchild. Certain shoulder movements were painful, so I thought there might be some arthritis as well.
An article on myofascial release passed by on my InstaGram and it seemed like yet another potential healing method. I was so desperate, I wanted to explore it, so I found Lynn and Vanessa's practice in the next town over and had my first consult with Vanessa. Vanessa knew that my condition could be helped with myofascial release. As a nurse, I had known about fascia from my anatomy days, but had no idea it was a living tissue that could be manipulated and could change! I knew it was working after the first session. It was amaaazing how quickly I felt relief. I went for 10 more sessions and was diligent with the simple reinforcing exercises between sessions.
It's been a couple of months since my last treatment and I can tell the release is still ongoing, as Vanessa had told me it might. After 15 years of hopelessly battling this issue, I am now pain free. I highly recommend these two lovely, caring and wise healers. I am thankful everyday.

At 75 I was an active adult traveling, walking, playing with my grandchildren, taking dance classes and gardening. Gradually my activities slowed and eventually stopped as I experienced pain in my hip and lower back. After being diagnosed with pretty severe scoliosis, I was referred to a chiropractor to try to help with not only the back pain, but chest pain that was a result of the scoliosis. After seeing a chiropractor several times a week, for almost a year, my chiropractor referred me to Lyn for Myofascial Release Therapy to be used in conjunction with the chiropractic care. I was immediately comfortable with Lyn, her vibe, her studio, and her approach to care! Within the first session, I learned so much about listening to my body as well as how things are all connected. After several sessions with Lyn, I was able to learn techniques to use at home in between visits. These techniques have helped with migraines, back pain, chest pain, etc. Needless to say, I discontinued chiropractic care for the time being as the work done with Lyn has helped with all the symptoms I had been experiencing. Lynn is a wonderful occupational therapist with excellent hands on skills. I found myofascial to be extremely helpful in treating neck/back pain and postural asymmetries I was having when I starting seeing Lynn. She assessed me each time I saw her, quickly identifying what areas to target each session. Her home exercises/self-treatment programs were very helpful and have made a world of difference for me. I'm now able to feel when I have a pain cycle starting and use the techniques she taught me to stop it.
I also want to say that Lynn provided a relaxing atmosphere for my treatment sessions and she was always ready and waiting for me when I arrived. I highly recommend her as a Myofascial practitioner -she will definitely make an impact in your pain and posture.
