  The staff at Alexander Rothwell were absolutely incredible to my family. Being close to Calverton, they're experts in military services, and this was of paramount importance to us as my father was a Marine. From the initial call to our in-person consultation with Bill we felt cared for and trusted them implicitly—I can not say how important that was to us during a busy time both in our own grief and managing the logistics of both the service and the family's coming together. The handling of my father's transport, appearance and of course the beautiful service by Ken, both at the funeral home and at the cemetery, exceeded expectations, as well as the behind the scenes logistical work by Patti. Everyone there treated us with such comfort and care, but also kept us on task and practical. They were flexible, fairly priced, and never pushed us to do more than we wanted, while offering guidance as we needed and asked. The day could not have gone more perfectly because of them. My sister and I will remember the staff fondly as they are woven forever into the memorial of my father. They get my highest recommendation.

  My family and I were extremely satisfied with how they handled my grandfather’s passing. They are professional, kind & compassionate. They made my grandfather look how we remember him. Thank you Robert.

  I cannot express what wonderful care the director (Ken) provided for my uncle, who served in the Navy, and then went on to serve 35 years in the FDNY. They were incredibly professional and kind. The costs were affordable. The special service they provided was unparalleled. You should only trust Alexander Rothwell with the care of your loved one, particularly if they served in the military, navy, FDNY, NYPD, etc. The options they have to honor those who served are absolutely gorgeous.
  
  Also note, that during the Co-Vid pandemic, they still have the resources to hold services in small groups. This is in an environment where a DIFFERENT funeral home was going to offer us a headshot of our loved one via text message and place him in the ground, with no options of viewing or embalming. I am so glad we transferred the care of our loved one to this funeral home instead.
  
  I will forever be grateful to Ken @ Alexander Rothwell because he gave my Uncle the service he deserved and held a private viewing for us, with a beautiful arrangement of FDNY decorations displayed in the room. Just absolutely stunning. It is a memory I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  They were wonderful and made my father look great. Alexandra couldn't have been better with the arrangements and making us feel as comfortable as can be. They were reasonably priced and worked with well with Calverton and local churchs.

  Robert and Patty were wonderful in the handling of my Aunt's service. They guided and assisted my family every step of the way. They were empathetic and paid attention to every detail. They made a simple service very special. A service my Aunt would have appreciated. I would highly recommend Alexander Rothwell Funeral home.
