(March 4, 2023, 11:37 am)I was referred to Dr. Berman by a close friend of mine. After years of seeing a couple other podiatrists and having cortisone and schlerosing shots in my foot and the pain numbness in my toes returning full-force, where I was limping a lot, I decided to listen to my friend and give Dr. Berman a try. I was impressed that the doctor said he would not jump to any shots or medication without first getting to the root of the problem by doing x-rays, seeing if I'm wearing the correct size shoes, and maybe even an MRI. I was happy my x-rays showed no structural problem, so then Dr. Berman referred me to The Athlete's Source shoe fitters store in Bethel Ct. to help me get my feet properly fitted. I followed his recommendation and went there to get fitted with the correct size and supportive shoes. In about 3 months time, I can say that the pain is 95% gone and I no longer limp. I still have slight numbness at the tip of my toes, but I can return to my very active lifestyle without pain that stops me in my tracks! I highly recommend Dr. Berman! I also highly recommend The Athlete's Source in Bethel, CT. That is the only shoe store that actually knows about fitting feet and foot problems.
