It’s a lot of fun taking artefacts that we find and watching their eyes light up.they have an amazing collection of points, axes, pottery vessels, mortars & pestled…you name it. School classes would love visiting and learning more about the Lenni Lenape.
Amazing collection of Native American artifacts, many of which are local finds. Pottery painfully reconstructed from very small fragments -- making them the ultimate, real life jigsaw puzzles. The hosts are very informative and are working archeologists! So anyone with an interest in history or in ancient tools would find something here. The collection is great, but the location is small, so my rating reflects that. You could expect to spend an hour there, so I would suggest planning to visit some other local attractions to make a half-day of it.
So much cooler than I expected walking in. A truly staggering amount of artifacts on display, from spear points to pottery, drills to cool spear launchers. The staffers are working archaeologists who delight in answering all questions.
