(July 28, 2023, 10:25 pm)A group of us went here tonight for our friends 40th birthday. I’ve never been to an hibachi before. It was interesting and fun! The chef was impressive and did a few tricks with the food and spatula. There were a few other interactive tricks too and of course he did the big flame thing. Now personally it’s not my kind of place because I don’t eat seafood, but luckily they had a chicken & vegetable dish. I won’t return because it’s not really my type of menu, but the food did taste fresh, made literally right in front of you, and I appreciated the chef’s performance. It’s also very nicely decorated with a modern feel. I highly recommend anyone who likes hibachi and seafood to try this place.

(December 30, 2021, 6:28 pm)My wife and I stopped in as 1st time diners on a date night after having seen a movie at the AMC Voorhees.
We chose Akira because of the existing Google reviews. The restaurant did not disappoint!
Quality of the food was beyond excellent and the service was superb. The menu is varied, with many options at different price points. If you love sushi, as my wife does, this is definitely the place to stop for lunch or dinner. I opted for an item under "kitchen entrees" which was a delicious combination of flavors.
As we ate, the restaurant was doing a significant take out business so it's quite popular.
We sat at a standard booth but there is another side of the restaurant with hibachi tables. There is also a sushi bar where you can watch the sushi artists create.
