(July 6, 2023, 2:55 pm)Grandfather and I would always swing by to get the cooked salami grinder and a nice cold coke. He grew up in this town and ajs was always our go to place before we headed back home to st.louis. sadly he passed away last month but this is my most cherished memory with him.
Update: Back in town today and ordered my grinder. Restaurants under a new owner but it looks the same and the grinder is as wonderful as I can remember. The young lady at the register was such a sweet heart. Talked for a bit and told her how my grandfather and I would always come in and eat. She told my mother and I goodbye and blew a kiss. This is why I never want to leave higganum everyone's family there. but sadly I will be heading back home. Bless the town of higganum and the wonderful community. We will miss you and hopefully we will be back soon. -
