  I got my tail wheel endorsement about 20 years ago with Damian when I was building my RV-8. You can’t do any better than flying with them as they are very experienced and their aircraft are always good. I want to get to fly their Stearman when the weather gets warmer.

  Always a great place to train on your short field landings. Avoid flying over the lake on downwind

  Nice spot to relax, fish, paddle boat and in close proximity to Andover Airport. I wish I could've gone on the runway to get better pictures of the retro planes.

  I'm not a pilot but I'm convinced that flying into this small airport must be a beautiful experience. With small lakes on the North and South end of the runway and surrounded by Kittatinny State Park woodlands the views are amazing. There are plenty of spots to view the occasional takeoffs and landings. If you are into kayaking or row boating you can get directly under the action on the lake! *Lake Aeroflex on the North side is the deepest "Natural" lake in New Jersey with a depth of 110 feet.*

  It might seem strange to review an airport...but here I go anyway. I'm a local pilot (not based at 12N) and love this airport for many reasons not the least of which is that it's the most scenic spot in the area. Land, hop out, and enjoy the biplanes and cubs that will be inevitably circling the airport. Or head over to the other side of the runway where you'll find picnic tables and grills (and a small boat launch) operated within Kittatinny State Park.
  
  There is something very rewarding and relaxing about this hidden gem of northern New Jersey. Whether you're a pilot or not, it's worth a visit.
