My son takes a little to adjust to new people and places so when we went to soccer shots at Advent and he mentioned he wanted to go to school there I jumped at the chance for a tour. Since we were looking we decided to look around at the other options as well. This was an absolute no brainer, other schools did not compare!! The homey feel, professional staff, clean classrooms, people who genuinely cared, Advent Lutheran was everything we were looking for! Other places felt like glorified daycares with flashy animal themes, large classrooms, corporate policies and burnt out staff in charge of too many kids. Advent has teachers who were truly focused on educating your children. My only regret is not finding them sooner! Not only was my son suddenly speaking different languages, one day I was anxious in my room and my son looked at me and breathed deeply moving his hands and said here now you have the breathing ball. Everything they do at this school is with care, thought, and intention and it shows. The teachers here are experienced professionals who have children themselves and know exactly what your child needs to be prepared for kindergarten. Seriously best preschool around!

(September 8, 2018, 11:04 pm)Pastor Chris was absolutely amazing in memorializing my mother, father, and grandmother in the lovely 'scatter garden' and 'tree of life'. I will make it a point to stop in, pause for reflection near the garden, and visit with Pastor Chris from time to time.
