(August 30, 2023, 11:07 am)ACUA gives out free tours of this facility to the public--just call to schedule one! Our family went on a 1-hour guided tour in an ACUA electric vehicle, and it was absolutely fantastic. We learned so much about where our trash and recycling go and it was so helpful to see the process. All the ACUA staff involved in booking this, and our tour guide Alexis, were super friendly and welcoming!

(March 8, 2023, 5:15 pm)Received a wonderful tour on 03/08/23 of Wastewater Treatment Plant & Wind Farm from Alexis. She was a delightful tour guide who was very amicable, insightful, passionate, knowledgeable, attentive, & provided answers to all our questions.
The tour took approximately 1 hour & included something for each of the five senses (except taste). The noise wasn’t too loud & the smell wasn’t too bad, so no headphones or nose plugs required. The temp was 47 degrees with sun & wind. Bundling up definitely helps.
Would recommend 10/10. Already looking forward to scheduling another tour !!!! 😎 -

(February 1, 2023, 9:25 am)We had a tour at the recycling/garbage and compost facilities yesterday. What a wonderful, educational experience for all! Alexis, who gave us the tour is so kind and knowledgeable! She was great with our kids, and made them feel so comfortable. She truly loves what she does and it shows! We would 100% recommend a tour - we each learned something new.
