(January 16, 2018, 8:10 am)Yes, it's a high end store but you get what you pay for. The selection is beautiful. I was looking for simple subway tiles but in a color that large retail stores or online stores don't carry. It cost me double the price but it was still great value and the color was exactly what I was looking for. Plus, Darlene gave me excellent design advice which isn't free these days!

(January 13, 2018, 2:56 pm)Darlene was great on my last bathroom. I bring in faucets, cabinetry, etc. from other stores to be sure everything works together - size, color, style, design, etc. etc. She gives great input and guidance. I wouldn't redo a Kitchen or Bathroom unless I had Darlene!

(May 21, 2016, 2:52 pm)I had been to a number of tile shops before finding A Step in Stone. At A Step in Stone I found the most beautiful and unusual tile I'd ever seen. One was just as lovely as the next. My early 1970's small bathroom renovation presented a number of challenges that Darleen helped to solve with a design and tile choice that far surpassed my expectations. Darleen was amazing; her advice and expertise was instrumental in the success of the project and I am completely happy with the outcome. A BIG THANK YOU to A STEP IN STONE!

The owner is particularly skilled in matching the perfect tile to the project. Despite the fact that our project was very small, the owner took the time to meet with us to understand our needs and aesthetic. Her communication from start to finish was timely and on point. I couldn't have had a better experience and look forward to working with them again on our future home projects.
