(July 19, 2022, 9:28 am)I'm 41 and the last time I got a tattoo was over 20 years ago. I spoke with a few tattoo places in the area and most were dismissive. I'd walk in and ask a few questions and they would direct me to go to their website, see which tattoos I like and then reach back out to them. They all said they had a long wait too. It felt like I was annoying them.
When I tried walking into Monks tattoo place it was closed. I called the number and spoke with Alex(Monk). Right away he was a lot more helpful. He asked me what I wanted and asked that I send him a pic of an idea. I did that and he responded right away about what he could do, how soon he can do the job and how much it would cost. He also told me to text him whenever I wanted to ask him whatever questions I had. Which I had a bunch. Never once did he make me feel like I was annoying him(which I might have).
When it came time to schedule the tattoo he said Greg is available and specializes in the type of tattoo I was looking for. Greg was just as helpful with answering all my questions. During the actual tattoo Greg was great. He did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable with chatting about life the entire time.
I'd highly recommend to anyone in my situation - 40+ years old with some tattoos in the past, looking to spice things up. The price was great, the work was great and the guys are just generally good dudes. -

(April 30, 2021, 4:27 pm)Monks is no joke. He is an artist at heart - artistically and musically. Really easy going dude with a no BS attitude. Come at him straight and you will have a good experience. Don't front, don't demand, don't impose. You discuss, inquire, and arrive at a mutual understanding of how the piece will go and look. He doesn't take on EVERY single request either so make sure you talk to him and discuss. I spent about 4 hrs (2 sessions) with Monks and the piece came out absolutely sick. He was very attentive during the session. Overall a great 1st experience with Monks.

I have been a client of Tiffany for 4 years now; she keeps her work station very clean, tells you every step and procedure she is going to do, and goes over after care very thoroughly. She makes you feel very comfortable and is a fantastic piercer!

I went, and got my ears pierced by Tiffany, who is incredibly knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable. Her piercing room is clean, and organized. Opened everything in front of me, and made the experience as quick as possible. Gave me instructions on how to care for my piercings, and said I could contact if I ever had any questions.
This was my second piercing by Tiffany, and I recommend her to all my friends.
