We had our intimate wedding weekend at 1754 House and could not have been happier with the level of service! We had eaten at the restaurant and knew immediately it was the best place to host our wedding. Cara, the manager, is absolutely fabulous and everything from start to finish was amazing. The rooms are comfortable and clean, staff is very friendly, and the food is great.
Came here for a wedding, the wait staff was super duper nice and I liked the simplicity of their uniform. Odd thing to compliment but its true. They were very attentive to get plates or cups out of our way along with serving up more food. Which the food was also great! I hadn't tried some of that stuff before and I'm glad I did. Especially the duck fat French fries 🤩
The location is lovely. The surrounding area is extremely quiet and has lots of trees amd greenery despite it being near a road. The drive there was serene~
The area we were in also had a nice back patio which was great for the kids and to get some fresh air.
Overall great experience :)
Amazing food, awesome service, and incredible atmosphere. For an app, we got the pretzel knots. They were delicious and so was the mustard that came with it… but make sure to get the side of Gouda sauce! So good. For mains, we got the fish and chips and the 1754 burger and both were incredible. I will be back here asap.
My wife and I had our wedding reception there a year ago, returned there again today for our anniversary. We have also gone a few times in between also. The food is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly. The price of the food as well as the quality is just on a whole other level. We've tried a little bit of everything so far and the flavor is so good. Can't say enough good things about this place. Brittany Franklin crushes it with customer service there as well. Looking for an event, she'll go above and beyond what you expect or desire.
Visited the restaurant on a Saturday night, sat at the bar. Everything was fabulous. The NE clam chowder was smoky and delicious, the shrimp cocktail was super fresh, my salmon entree was cooked to perfection and the accompanying roasted root vegetables were crispy and well seasoned, and my husband’s fish and chips were awesome with a super light batter (ver different from the traditional) and phenomenal duck fat fries. And don’t even get me started on the drinks and cheesecake made with goat cheese!! A must visit if you’re in the area.
