  The best hair color/ style service. I have had great experiences with both Carlos and Lotasha. Clean. Friendly, Professional. Great vibe. Nicely decorated. Up to date trends in all hair services, color, cuts, extensions, and updo's. Sell product.

  I visited 1595 Hairboutique for the first time today, based on a friend's recommendation and how fabulous her hair looked. I read reviews, followed them on instagram and took the leap. I was lowkey nervous because I have very coarse 4C hair and not only was I looking to have a layered cut but also a really good lasting blow dry.
  First off the salon is so cute and clean and fancy looking. White walls and chair, stainless steel appliances, cute and cozy waiting area... already I was liking what I was seeing. Latosha, the owner, was so professional and punctual. She listened to what I was looking for, studied my inspiration picture and as she was doing my hair, walked me through everything she was doing and why she was doing it. She had great tips for night time routines and how to keep my hair moisturized without weighing it down. I love the whole experience and my cut even more. Cant wait to be back :)

  I have always been that woman that loved short hair. Similar to R&B singer Fantasia back in my hometown. In the middle of 2013 I decided to switch up by slowly transitioning to going natural and grow out my hair. Near 2014 I was super excited about my growth and I had an important meeting in Los Angeles and I wanted to look my best. Sadly to say the woman I was going to for press outs was booked. I then tried to book an appt with another lady I was going to that did African braids; unfortunately she was booked as well. Both ladies from my hometown in Central NY. To make the long story short; being that I was desperate....I went back to a hair stylist that did my hair as an early adult (forgetting why I had stopped going to her). After my trip from L.A. my hair broke off badly. I blamed myself for not being patient on waiting for the two ladies that helped my growth journey....so I had to go back to explain the terrible ordeal to the woman that took great care of my hair (that pressed my hair). I had to get a big chop and start all over again! A few months later my family and I relocated to Connecticut. Almost 2 years have passed and it's been a roller coaster trying to find a new hair stylist that would take care of my hair; especially after the nightmare I had back in my hometown. It nearly took me almost 12 months from the time that we moved to find 1595 Hair Boutique where I met Mrs. Latosha. I was so desperate on finding the right hair stylist I booked with her and a celebrity hairstylist in PA (due to the nature of my career). When I visited 1595 Hair Boutique....I simultaneously felt myself serene, yet excited mixed with a sense of trepidation. I hadn't felt that way in a very long time. I pretty much had no trust for anyone in my head besides the two ladies in my hometown. Yup, I learned my lesson....never go outside of your stylist. Not every stylist cares about your hair! However, Mrs. LaTosha made me feel comfortable and was also honest and I loved that about her! I explained to her about my ordeal and she was sympathetic and reassured me that her mission is always healthy hair; and honesty is the best policy for her clients. I also told her that I was stuck between her and the celebrity hairstylist in PA. Because I wanted to prevent having numerous people in my head ...I decided to cancel my appointment with the stylist in PA and stick with Mrs. Latosha from 1595 Hair Boutique! Next Spring will be 1 year since I have faithfully been seeing Mrs. Latosha and so far my hair has grown and I love the fact that she is determined to meet my goals and dreams on growing long healthy natural hair. GOD answered my prayers when he brought Mrs. Latosha in my life. So far, she has been the BEST hair stylist I EVER encountered. Yes, even better then the ladies in my hometown. So if you are looking for a hair stylist that will give her clients 100% effort in growing healthy beautiful hair & more then 1595 is the place! Sorry for the ranting ....I am just happy with my results this far. Ahhhhhh it's been a journey!!!! Thank you Mrs. Latosha for helping my dreams become a reality. I am excited to see how long we can grow my hair; and I know with your guidance it will happen very soon! See you soon ma'am!
